A whole range of apple varieties naturally tolerant to pests and diseases

New varieties to ensure sustainable profitability of orchards

For 20 years, NOVADI has been building a co-breeding program with INRAE in order to create and develop apple varieties tolerant to the main pests and diseases, and in particular to apple scab. In addition to tolerance, the objectives of the crosses are the regularity of production, the improvement of organoleptic quality, the extension of shelf life and the enhancement of pack-out. To ensure the sustainable profitability of the orchards, varieties have demonstrated their taste, agronomic and commercial qualities over time.

These varieties are multiplied in France by nurseries member of NOVADI.
